ED BERNACKI, Senior Consultant

Ed Bernacki’s career started with a non-profit association in Canada and then expanded to living in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore and working in the public and private sectors. He developed an interest in helping people and organizations build their capacity to innovate. He created the Idea Factory to help managers make decisions to shape more innovative organizations, and to lead the problem solving design of solutions to interesting challenges.
He brings a common sense approach to innovation. His experiences range from shaping Total Quality Service programs with New Zealand Post and helping the Singapore Prime Minister’s Office launch a national innovation skills training program to delivering innovation workshops for the non-profit and public sectors and teaching a Masters of “Creativity and Innovation” course in the Masters of Innovation and Entrepreneurship program in Australia.
Ed is likely the most published writer on innovation in Canada and has spoken at over 250 conferences in various countries. He authored “I am an Idea Factory!”, “Seven Rules for Designing More Innovative Conferences”, innovation guides for various governments, and several non-profit strategy guides. He also invented a series of unique idea journals. Many of his Conference Navigator Guides have been used in association and non-profit conferences.
